So..yes, this isn't the best sci-fi movie in existence, but I don't think it's half as bad as everyone is saying. Let's start by the visuals. The visuals are AMAZING and are what makes this movie worth seeing on the big screen. The universe the brothers created is huge, which gives room for a lot of breath-taking scenes. This however, is one of the drawbacks of the film. The fact that the universe is so big and that it is a 2 hour film, makes the story a little sloppy. There are a lot of things left unexplained which is a pity, and too much time filled with love scenes. Moreover, the characters are either good or bad, there's not much depth to them. Despite all this, the movie is good, I decided on 7 instead of 6.5 mainly because of the visuals. You need to consider this movie as a sci-fi flick, taking into account that you don't see many original sci-fi movies around, and that the plot isn't that bad,it's just not mind blowing, I'd encourage you to see it for yourself, grab some popcorn and enjoy the movie for what it is.

If you ever want to know how to make a well directed and well acted mystery thriller without the good directing, acting and absence of mystery and thrill then study this film. How this director managed to take a very interesting premise and create something so dreadfully boring completely baffles me. Firstly, the structure of this film just made no sense whatsoever, it jumps back and forth from the past, present and future in an attempt to slowly reveal the mystery, but 90% of the time these flashbacks were so boring because you had no idea how they were related to the mystery until the very end. The overall directing of this film was so poorly done that there was no sense of thrill or interest in what was happening, meaning you could not at all care about the mystery that is supposed to be carrying the film. When you do finally get some sort of reveal as to what is going on, it is supposed to shock the audience, but even though i did not see it coming, it had absolutely no effect on me at all; i just thought about how dumb it was and how it made most of the film make even less sense. THEN the multiple utterly stupid twists that occur within the last 15 minutes are just desperate attempts to continue 'shocking' the audience. But rather than making the audience realise things that they didn't notice before it just completely confused everyone, because the flashbacks are supposed to provide clues that make you question things that then get answered / revealed in the end but no-one was questioning anything because they didn't know why the flashbacks were relevant.
You may hope that the performances save the film seeing as though there are actors who were great in some of their previous roles in movies and TV shows, but nope, they are all just atrocious. I want to believe that it has to do with the writing of the characters because all of your main cast sucked. Almost all of their lines seemed forced and cliché and that just took you out of the film. I did like Rachael Taylor in the film i thought she stood out over everyone else so whenever she was in frame i could stay awake, also Karl Urban had a couple of OK moments but not enough to redeem himself for the rest of the film. This film was a complete and utter disappointment in terms of the plot and performances, now i have to check out the original 2008 version and see if this movie converted crap into more crap or ruined a good original idea.

Gladiator Movie Reviews
For those of you who missed the first one, Insurgent is the sequel to Divergent, Divergent is a series aimed at the new teen girl audience, so think Twilight and Hunger games and you are along the right lines. But the reel question is after the disappointment of Divergent will this second be a Maze Runner or just a Runner Runner? If you look at the poster for Insurgent it looks like it's been directed by the Wakoski brothers, with the two main leads free falling in air, shattered glass surrounding them with guns drawn, but the truth is that Insurgent is nowhere near as physisophrenic as any of the matrix movies. No, Insurgent is a film with it's head on it's shoulders and it's goals always in sight.
I think it's this narrow mindedness that makes Insurgent worth watching, you can feel the movements are counting for something, they are part of a bigger scheme, it's not all juts random or pointless, every scene is measured to fit within it's play in the story and that story is buried within the many levels of social commentary that the movie makes.
Insurgent never gives into the pressure of feeling like "the middle child" with not having any real beginning or end, that's the norm for movies like this, but not Insurgent. Instead it has a clearly defined beginning, middle and end, and just to help us along the setting changes for all three times. It's little things like that which can really lift a film out of the ordinary.
Really we should credit the director Robert Schwentkes for this change. Schwentkes has had VERY mixed success, being responsible for last year's awful R.I.P.D. but before that the quite good Red and the very acceptable Time Traveller's Wife. In Insurgent it feels like Schwentkes has found his calling, he makes something as simple as a shower look incredible, with his expert eyes for framing, but it is in none reality when Insurgent really comes alive.
For at least half the film Insurgent is set in this strange SIM reality which is made to test each of the abilities of a candidate. This setting is both surprising and engaging. I think that's a good way to describe all of Insurgent really. Surprising and Engaging.
It's true Insurgent does not mind bringing out the big guns, with mass suicide being one of the major ones, the entire film has an air that anything could happen and in justice often does. I also like that all those things that no one really cared about from the original, for instance, all the different virtues of each discipline. Yeah that's mostly forgotten about in Insurgent and if not it's made REALLY clear what is required from the given party.
It's interesting to me to see how the 3 main teen leads carry themselves and the film, Shaliene Woodly is clearly trying hard to bring out the level of talent that Jennifer Lawrence has as Tris. Theo James looks like he can have the only troubled expression on his face and nothing else and Miles Teller makes it all look so easy. As for the rest of the players they are all fine, especially Nomi Watt's who I personally didn't even recognise.
The truth is that Insurgent is just flat out better than it's predecessor, it is succinct, clever, brave and beautiful, and I've got a feeling the best it yet to come.

Gladiator Movie Reviews
This film tells the tale of a seventh son from a village, who is chosen by a master to fight the evil witch who will rule the land.
"Seventh Son" is one of the rare mediaeval fantasy film, that don't seem to be made anymore. This fantasy tale is entertaining, and Julianne Moore gives a good performance of a cold blooded witch. The story itself is not particularly interesting or engaging, and there is little thrill. The film is heavily reliant on computer generated graphics, but we have been wowed by "The Hobbit" and "The Lord of the Rings" already. Hence, "Seventh Son" offers nothing new, and only offers a brainless way to kill two hours.

I was so intrigued about this movie. I had a terrible feeling of disappointment because First Class was absolutely fine and riveting. That one was even better than X-Men 2 (the last one directed by Brian Singer before this). So I tried to went to see this with low expectation. And what a wonderful entertainment and surprising thoughtful story I found here. Days Of Future Past is the best X-men movie so far for two main reasons:
Fans of the original trilogy and First Class will definitely enjoy this one thanking its nostalgia and its perfect and well balanced mix between the original characters and the new ones (with just a few ones who maybe deserved more credit, but is not at all a problem for the movie). & This movie delivers a surprising top notch entertaining with a potent story and some good twists that help to live up expectations mixed with terrific special effects and cinematography. 3-D is very cool here.
The actors are fantastic. Fassbender and McAvoy still delivering amazing performances meanwhile Stewart and Mckellen give their reflections in the same excellent way that in the trilogy. Hugh Jackman finally finds his character as a true important one in comparison with the last movies. Wolverine/Logan finally has a proper treatment in this movie that will help anyone who could be annoyed with his solo adventures to love him again. They are the five main stars of the story with the inclusion of a spectacular and skillful Mystique (impressive Jennifer Lawrence who steals almost every scene of hers) who is undoubtedly the sixth one. The other actors made good performances and make possible the transitions of the story until the amazing finale.
It has been so many comparisons with The Avengers. Let me tell you something with all my respect. I found this one truly better. X-Men: Days of Future Past will please the fans and moviegoers and will inject fresh blood and joy to the franchise. This is a terrific time at the movies. Don't miss the opportunity to see it.

So Logan decides to go back himself because he might be able to withstand it. So Charles tells him that it's Mystique who's responsible because when she learned about the Sentinels she sought out Bolivar Trask the man who created them and killed him. I watched this movie first day, first show. It started with a bang and ended with a bang, and in a way that would have crumbled even hearts of steel.
This has everything one might need in a blockbuster movie. There were smoking hot chicks, electrifying dialogs, fantastic humor, awe inspiring stunts, and a menacing addition - Jason Statham.
This is a movie which you dare not miss, because if you miss this one you are never going to see another. Be prepared for one last lovely beautiful and thrilling ride ahead of you, that's well worth your time and memories.
In terms of cast and crew, Vin Diesel proves to be the man of the series aided by brilliant performances by Michelle Rodriguez, Tyrese Gibson, Jordana Brewster, and Dwayne Johnson. And finally the unforgettable Paul Walker. Walk into the sunset, walk through the rain... Walk straight into our hearts, and never abandon our memories again. For Paul... May your soul rest in Peace.
